I hateful information technology is and so aggravating to answer to an ad on craigslist and so no one e'er gets back with you . I'm wondering if they just put the advertizing up to see how many replies they can become ? I hateful how many of you lot have actually been able to buy something off craigslist . I have never been able to become annihilation off in that location because people either a.) don't respond to yous through electronic mail or any other grade . B.) they are not really in the expanse they say they are . C. ) they really don't have the particular and are only putting an advertizement upwardly for some sick twisted reason . I mean honestly if y'all don't want to sell said item then don't put an ad upwardly . I wanted a really overnice rocker off in that location and no ane ever replied back .

A lot of times replies get to the spam folder, people wont cheque their emails (they prefer texts), and other times they sell the item just either forget or dont bother to remove the advertisement.

Craigslist is a hassle, but information technology'south often worth it for the bargain. I keep there to purchase used piece of furniture and practice equipment, and the sellers rarely sell those kinds of items quickly. Thus, if the advertizement is yet up, the particular is most probable still available. I tin spot scam ads pretty hands, so I don't bother responding to those. The thing I find nigh frustrating are sellers who have ads upward and afterward speaking to them tell you they can't evidence yous the item for a calendar week or two weeks. That doesn't work for me. The reason I'm calling is because I desire to purchase whatever thing Now, not 12 days from at present. And that'south what I tell them. "Thanks, but I don't desire to expect until side by side Thursday to see it. I'g a serious buyer, then I'll just go and buy another ane."

There are many unscrupulous posters on CL as well that are just e-mail searching in order to generate spam. What I Hate is the advertisement(due south) that the same person/company posts l+ times/day EVERY mean solar day.

I have never had a problem buying or selling on craigslist.
I read the advert very carefully.
Some people are very explicit virtually what the e-mail should say. If information technology doesn't have the right words in the title, they delete it.
some people specify that they will accept phone calls just (that is what my ads say. If you lot send an e-mail, I volition not respond, and I do non take text letters).
Some people asking text but, or say that text are not accepted.

I've sold a few things on craigslist. I reply to everyone, but I usually sell it within a few days.

I accept the decency to have the advertising off one time I sell it.

I could see at that place being sick twisted people who actually aren't selling annihilation posting ads.

Just like there are chore postings but companies that aren't really hiring!!

I listed an quondam CRT tube Television for Gratis on CL and got like 10+ responses in a few hours. I gave it to the first person who emailed and so just deleted the rest of the emails. I should have ask for $20 for the Television receiver. If item are priced to low or are gratis then you can get dozens of emails for a unmarried item.

I wish I knew what was incorrect with my CL responses. I don't even get spam when I post, which tells me something is wrong. I have posted the same items several times simply don't know what is going on, whether information technology is AOL or the CL server. I would honey to hear from anyone who knows how to fix this problem equally I have several items to mail just don't because I don't recollect I'k getting any inquiries.

Even so, I concur that some people cease responding when their items are sold. In the past, when I did get responses, I would just copy a message thanking them for their fourth dimension and letting them know that the detail was gone and rapidly deleted the mail.

(nothing against you OP)

I don't respond when folks try to depression-ball. When I post an advertizement for an item that i'm willing to sell for $25, I get numerous replies asking if I want to sell for $ten, $5, $15, $24.99+1/2 cent, etc......

I actually want to reply, "I SAID $25 DAMMIT IF YOU CAN'T Go Upwardly OFF OF THAT KEEP EFFIN' LOOKIN!!!!" (angry much? haha)

But I go on remembering what my mom said, "If you lot can't say anything nice....."
